Installing SIPTAPI

SIP TAPI integration is made using the freely available SIPTAPI application, a software allowing to have a TAPI driver to access your Cloud PBX.

Download the file from the link above and uncompress the zip package

  • right click on the zip file and click on Extract All...

  • Take note of where you're extracting the file.

  • Double click on the deploy folder.

  • And you'll find the files you'll require.

IMPORTANT The SIP TAPI integration is made by dialing your own extension and then connecting to the destination. It is important the “Recover VM messages dialing your own same number” is set to No. The following example has been made using version 0.2.17.

 

If you have a 64bit Windows do this:

  1. Copy the siptapi.tsp file from the deploy > x64 > Release folder into your Windows system32 directory (usually C:\Windows\System32). If you get a prompt asking permission, just click Continue button. This gives you full TAPI support with 64 and 32bit TAPI applications.
  2. If you want to configure SIPTAPI not only from the telephony control panel and from 64bit applications, but also from 32bit applications, copy the 32bit siptapi.tsp from deploy > Win32 > Release folder into your WoW64 directory (usually C:\Windows\SysWow64)
  3. Install and configure SIPTAPI using the telephony options from control panel. Press your Windows key and enter Control Panel in the search field. Then select Control Panel under the Best match to open it.

Open Phone and Modem.

If you get the Location Information window. Make sure you select the country/region you are in now, and your area code. e.g. If in Sydney, then area code is 02. Leave everything else as default. Then press the OK button.

Afterwards the Phone and Modem window will pop up. Click on the Advanced tab. And then click on the Add button.

Select SIPTAPI Service Provider 0.2.17 and press the Add button.

You'll get an installation confirmation like this.

Select the SIPTAPI Service Provider 0.2.17 under the Advanced tab. And click on the Configure button.

In here, fill in the fields with the information we have sent you in a separate email. Then click Apply, then OK button.
