How To Transfer a Call Using your Yealink T28 Phone

There are two ways on how to transfer calls.

  • Warm Transfer - A warm transfer is when you speak with the person whom you are transferring the call to and asking permission before the call is transferred.

  • Cold Transfer - A cold transfer is when you do not have to notify the other party/extension about the impending call.

 

How to do warm transfer:

  • During an active call, press the “Tran” button. This will put the active call on hold.



 

  • Enter the number to whom you want to transfer the call. 
  • Press the “OK” button to initiate the transfer. 



  • Wait until the destination party picks up the call and then confirm the transfer.
  • Press the “Tran” button again to complete the transfer.

 


How to do cold transfer:

  • During an active call, press the “Tran” button. This will put the active call on hold.



  • Enter the number to whom you want to transfer the call. 
  • Press the “Tran” button again to complete the transfer.


    The caller is now transferred to the other line and would have to wait until the other party answers
